Our Curriculum Overview
A Commitment to Excellence
The Rahmania School aims at offering all our students a broad and balanced curriculum that provides rewarding and stimulating activities to prepare them for the best social and cultural life.

PRE-K CLASS
In our Pre-K classes, we continue to offer a play based program that prepares students for kindergarten in a developmentally appropriate way. These classes are comprised of all of the elements listed in the 3 year old class. In addition we implement curriculum from Handwriting Without Tears (proper pencil grip and letter formation) and Exploring Math & Science in Preschool (NAEYC) to make sure the students head off to kindergarten with the skills they need to be successful.

2 ½ YEAR OLD CLASS
In our youngest drop off class, we focus mainly on social skills (learning to be away from mom and dad, sharing, speaking up about our needs, and interacting with others). The daily schedule includes a circle time focusing on a weekly theme, art, story time, active play, snack, and lots of time for free choice play and exploring.

3 YEAR OLD CLASS
Our three year old classes also focus on gaining social skills while adding an academic component that is developmentally appropriate. While the students rarely do “worksheets” they will be learning pre-writing skills through singing, reading and being surrounded by the written and spoken language. Pre-math skills are taught through fun counting, patterning and calendar activities. Like the 2 ½ year old class, the 3’s class is play based and is comprised of circle time, art, story time, active play, snack and free choice play.

Primary School Students
We realize the importance of communication skills in the evolving world. Hence language skills are the main focus of the curriculum with an emphasis on phonic sounds and activities like stories, songs, drama, and rhymes. Children gain confidence to converse in English and acquire a strong vocabulary base. We focus on the 3L’s – Language, Life, and Leadership skills. Students are encouraged to read books and write book reviews as it helps strengthen language and sharpens their writing skills. Through various other activities, students are made to enjoy and enhance their creative skills and imagination and are empowered to become leaders.
